Symbols have, for a long time, become an integral part of modern nation-states and other similar organizations. They are, time and again, used and abused. Through the use of a line from an old song dedicated to the Albanian flag, this work juxtaposes the “power" and “meaning" behind five different flags and has been premised upon the unjust imposition of state symbols by the international community on the people of Kosova, in the process of the declaration of independence in 2008.
